JENTERANEWS.com – The Sukabumi Regency Government received the Top 5 Investment Challenge 2024 award from the Governor of West Java on Friday, June 28, 2024. The award was given at the West Java Industrial Meeting (WJIM) event at the Trans Studio Convention Center in Bandung by the Deputy Head of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for West Java and the Head of the West Java Investment and Integrated Services Agency.
The award was received by the Head of the West Java Investment and Integrated Services Agency of Sukabumi Regency, representing the Regent of Sukabumi. Also present at the event were representatives from the Regional Development Planning Agency and the Agro Sukabumi Mandiri State-Owned Enterprise.
The Investment Challenge 2024 is a competition participated by districts and cities in West Java through the assessment of Investment Proposals according to the potential of each area.
The Investment Challenge 2024, as a strategic activity, is the inaugural program organized by the West Java Investment and Integrated Services Agency in collaboration with the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for West Java.
Sukabumi Regency contributed to the Investment Challenge 2024 by proposing a project titled “Development of Modern Rice Processing Industry”. This proposal was prepared by a team consisting of the Agro Sukabumi Mandiri State-Owned Enterprise, the Regional Development Planning Agency, and the West Java Investment and Integrated Services Agency, with support from the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Trade and Industry, and the Department of Food Security.
This proposal was submitted with a Business to Business (B2B) scheme. If this proposal receives investment support, in the future, the Agro Sukabumi Mandiri State-Owned Enterprise will be able to manage a Modern Rice Milling Unit (RMU) in Jampangkulon to produce premium quality rice from paddy sourced from farmers or farmer groups in Sukabumi Regency, so that the rice produced in Sukabumi Regency can be processed locally.
The Top 5 Investment Challenge went through a lengthy process, starting from the feasibility of the proposal, the preliminary round of evaluation of the investment feasibility offered, the Top 10 round of business feasibility analysis for the RMU, and finally the Top 5 round of presenting the investment proposal to potential investors at the West Java Investment Roadshow (WJIR) event on June 20, 2024, at the Kempinski Hotel in Jakarta.
The Top 5 Investment award signifies that the Agro Sukabumi Mandiri State-Owned Enterprise is a viable investment. Furthermore, the Top 5 Investment Challenge will also participate in the West Java Investment Summit (WJIS) in October. (*)
